John Innes SEED Compost
Our John Innes Seed Peat Free compost is made from the 50 year old recipe of loam and horticultural grit combined with bark fines and COIR. It has a peat free formula but with the addition of loam gives the seeds a base fertiliser to begin their germination and establishment of young plants. Our John Innes Seed Peat Free compost is a best seller for sowing seeds and seedlings as it provides a balanced nutrient supply, the loam based composition makes it easier to water and to re-wet it also acts as a store for water retention. Our More grow peat free compost is primarily made of bio fibre and wood fibre which provides the optimum structure for plant roots to grow and allows plants to thrive. Our fibres are by-products of sustainably managed forests showing our impact on climate change. The compost is also mixed with seaweed and volcanic dust adding essential nutrients such as sulphur to regulate the pH of the soil and gypsum.
